Botanicals Inspired by terroir

We are always inspired by Okinawa’s terroir. Okinawa is a southern island in between two oceans with mineral-rich soils. From a historical perspective, Okinawa was a cultural intersection in East Asia, which resulted in Okinawa being rich in agricultural products. Inspired by the culture, we combined juniper berries with botanicals that express Okinawa’s terroir and filled them in a bottle.

Goya ( Bitter Melon )
Juniper Berries
Guava Leaves
Roselle
Shekwasha (Citrus depressa)
Long Pepper

How we distill Masahiro Okinawa Craft Gin

Inspired by Okinawa’s tradition and culture, we decided to incorporate distillation techniques into the production of local spirits, awamori (rice spirits). Unlike distillers in western countries, we distill gin in two separate single distillers to create a unique flavor that cannot be found anywhere else. Respecting traditional techniques which have been used on this southern island for over 140 years, we continue to produce craft gin in an original manner still today.
